Ok, So it's time for our yearly news. Clearly
bloging is not the thing for us to be doing. We've been working on a movie!!!
This is very exciting and if you go to the
web site you can learn all about it.
it's called The
Little Cafe at the Edge of Eternity.
Check it out.
Also the next big news is that you can now
get Samplistic music on iTunes, Mp3.com, Napster...and all those digital
places. We've still got more albums coming, but for now, go to iTunes...you
might find something interesting. Maybe even an Idiom Creak album you've
never heard?
09.28.05
Assistant Green Show!?!?!!
-check events.
03.28.05
More updates will be coming but the web master
has been swamped as he is also a part-time male model and has recently
come into vogue. There are good, awesome breaks like this happening at
Samplistic all the time.....After-all.....We break for rare breaks....ho
ho. So, what's up? Well, we have the Assistant Green album just peaking
it's unreal head around the corner, The (Scatter-Shot Theory member) Overturned
Big Rig solo album called Beginners Luck, a Dark Keys Ep, a Mophopno Ep
called I Cry, A group called "Of 1942"...and you never know
what might be coming from that guy Idiom Creak. We just put together a
sampler CD with new and old tracks from all these artists as a promo gift
to go out with Disflex6's new release
"Robot Dreams" And so on. Keep Checkin' in...Soon a new
video from Idiom Creak will be on the Web. This time he has teamed up
with colossal brave-new-world pre-postapocalyptic, illustrious artist
Eatcho... to make god-knows-what. Eatcho is from Fresno....just thought
we'd let you know, it's the new mecca of frustated art...guess why.

Keyboard
Magazine featured a review of Idiom
Creak's Room From Another Music this month. They call it "Some
wonderfully strange music....[that] breaks out of the sound manipulation
mold to create a unique universe...like the soundtrack to the strangest
movie you've ever seen." In response Idiom Creak says: "I don't
know what they're talking about; but I'll take it as a compliment."
The magazine also adds "If David Lynch were to give up film making
for deejaying, he would probably create something very much like this."
We thank Keybord Magazine for the support.
09.19.04
Samplisit Records has made a National Distribution
deal with Americans
Are Coming Recordings though Burnside
Distribution. Expect music to roll into stores around October 19th.
07.10.04
Idiom
Creak's Room From Another Music has been reviewed by Grapevine Culture
and we like it because it's well thought out and honest. Make no mistake
about it; this is indeed a challenging album. Check
it.
05.25.04
Idiom
Creak's Room From Another Music moved up again from #19 in Hip Hop
CMJ charts to #14;"That's real good." says Idiom Creak. Apparently,
some people still consider that weirdo a B-boy, even though he's almost
entirely disguised at all times.
05.06.04
Idiom
Creak's Room From Another Music has moved up the CMJ charts this week
from #10 to #7. We like this. Also, the S.F. Examiner has printed a small
review of the album...click
here for that. Thanks again to all college DJ's for rock-rule'n. Peace.
04.28.04
Idiom
Creak's Room From Another Music. Debuts at #10 on CMJ RPM!"That's
real good" says Idiom Creak. Thanks to all the radio DJ's out there
who pay attention for making this a nice debut. Just wait till they hear
Assistant Green ;). Hey, that's a good idea; maybe we'll send them a couple
songs...to whet the appetite. Oh, also big-ups to KVMR for putting Idiom
Creak at #1 this week.
02.02.04
Idiom
Creak's new web site is up. BUT don't believe the hype about his "Official
Secret". This is nothing more than wicked propaganda from another
"tormented artist" in the music industry. Room From Another
Music is a great album. We celebrate it. It is the only new Idiom Creak
album there is. Anything else you've heard is just contrived label-bashing
from an overly idealistic, emotional basket-case. Still, Idiom creak is
a great artist and we appreciate his work.
01.26.04
Idiom Creak's Room From
Another Music is now for sale on this web site and very soon a completely
new web site for that album will be up. We hear it's great...but it's
been kept under wraps, even from us...untill it's unavailing.
09.20.03
O.k. the cover art is finished
and "Idiom Creak's Room From Another Music" will be going to
the press soon. When and how will it be available? I bet this web site
will be among the first to sell it. Let's watch and see.
09.05.03
The new Idiom Creak album
will be a HDCD which means that audiophiles all over will be able to expedience
the highest quality stereo available when listening to it on HDCD enabled
CD and DVD players. The CD will still play on all normal CD players at
the typical 16-bit rate, but those with these special players will get
to hear the original master at its original 24-bits. What does all this
mean? It's good...just trust us.
04.04.03
After 3 years Idiom Creak
is almost finished with his next album "Room From Another Music".
As the schedule looks, the CD should be available sometime in the next
few months. We'll keep you posted as specific dates become more clear.
04.04.03
Welcome to the new Samplistic
Records web site created for us by none other than the Flavor
Innovator. As it seems, the emergence of Samplistic Records came almost
out of necessity, a few years back, when Scatter-Shot Theory (Idiom Creak
and Overturned Bigrig) did a remix for Beck which was licensed and released
on Geffen Records. Samplistic had been quite the underground entity until
then.
Today,
with this web launch, we see a new era of Samplistic as well. We now have
an online catalog with all our music for sale plus we've now made available
t-shirts and stickers. This site also marks the official beginning of
our Samplistic Street Team, which takes maters underground again, cutting
out the needless middlemen and creating an entirely new type of "Artist-to-Fan"
distribution. Read the street team info for the full details.
As far as current happenings here at Samplistic, we
have been working hard and playing hard. We have released three new full-length
albums in the last five months.
We
have already had parties for both, our compilation called "The After
Dinner Collection" (at DNA Lounge in SF, CA), and for the Nostalgic
Progression album "Phonographic Timepod" (at DISC in Davis,
CA), which were both wonderfully successful parties! So many people came
out to see what we've been up; it was great to see such support.
The
third release is Mr. Dark Keys album "Broken Record" which is
available now from our online catalog. Send us your e-mail address in
our newsletter form below and we'll keep you posted on Mr. Dark Keys'
party as well as all our other happenings.
Also
there has been quite the nice reception of our work in the college radio
world. While Idiom Creak's Jet-Powered, Monkey-Navigated paved the way
hitting #16 in both the CMJ categories Hip-Hop and RPM (electronic), the
ears were warmed and ready for the recent releases of both "The After
Dinner Collection" and for Nostalgic Progression. We've already seen
NP on the charts, The After Dinner Collection has been added in many stations
across the nation and who knows what we will be getting into when we do
the send-out for the Dark Keys release!
In
the future you can look forward to full-length albums from Overturned
Bigrig, Assistant Green (Idiom Creak paired up with bay area vocalist
Kirby Dominant) and a new album from Idiom Creak called "Room From
Another Music". Plus an Idiom Creak DVD project is currently under
way. To see some samples look at the Idiom Creak artist page.
If
you have any suggestion or comments or you just want to get in touch with
us, please drop a line. Thanks for listening. Peace.
